LAN{US}East 2009 Was a Great Success!
|
|
|
|
Members and friends of Club Conflict had a fantastic time at LAN{US}East 2009. Over 50 guests attended our event July 28-31, 2009.
Steel Series featured a Counter-Strike:Source 3vs3 Tournament on Thursday May 28, 2009. Winners each received Steel Series mouse pads.
Also, on Friday May 29, 2009, we had a Steel Series gaming challenge for Steel Series headsets. The challenge was a LAN{US}East exclusive, the Siamese CS Challenge.
Friday evening was all about the Art of War Central COD4 Tournament. Winners received gaming servers from Art of War Central!
Saturday featured our Ultra Products CS:Source Tournament. The prizes for this years' Tournament included fantastic Ultra 850 Watt SLI Power Supplies as well as other cool Ultra hardware.

LAN{US}East 2009 - May 28 - 31, 2009

Club Conflict Members from all over the Eastern US and Canada will be gathering in Western Pennsylvania for their annual gaming festival known as LAN{US}East.
60 guests will hang out in exclusive Ligonier, PA and enjoy life on the easy side at the Ligonier Country Inn.
Over a dozen sponsors will be represented at this annual LAN event. Tournaments include "Steel Series Counter-Strike: Source 3vs3", "Art of War Central COD4 5vs5" and "Ultra Products Counter-Strike: Source 5vs5".

LAN{US}East 2009 is filling up fast!! If you are serious about attending the LAN, watch our forums for the announcement Friday March 20, 2009. A handful of seats will be made available at 6PM EST Friday. The private registration link to the LAN will be made available to all Club Conflict members soon!!

CALicious Repeats in Season 10!

|
CALicious has secured their second Club Conflict Championship in as many years. They defeated |PLA| on de_nuke 11-4 1st half as CT and 5-4 2nd half as T.
What a match!! |PLA| was in it right up until the end. The action was awesome! If you missed it, we hope to post the demos soon.

Two great matches were fought tonight. |PLA| defeated {US}BS and CALicious was victorious over Rogue.
CALicious will defend the Club Conflict Title they won in Season 9 (CALicious defeated -RbL- in Season 9).

The first round of playoffs was exciting. Most rounds went as expected as far as rankings were concerned going into the playoffs. There was an upset when sixth ranked -Rogue- defeated 3rd ranked BS Regs a resounding 25-5.
Here were the rankings going in:

Weeks 2-3 Rankings and Results Posted

After 3 weeks of competitive play, we have we have only 2 undefeated teams remaining. PLA and Calicious hold a 3-0 record, with PLA out in front by a slim margin with the more rounds won.
For those teams behind - the season is still young. Practice, and bring your A games in week 4 and make a run at your chance for the top spot in the league.

Week 1 Results and Rankings Posted!

Week 1 is in the books! Season 10 started off with a bang and week 1 is already behind us. Surprisingly, we have 4 undefeated teams, and 5 others without a win (Team CBW had a bye)... wait, that wasn't a surprise - err nevermind.
We did have one very impressive win by a team who, straight out of the gate, looked to establish themselves as an early favorite.
With a near shutout-win, Team |PLA| won convincingly over {US}|ST (my team - ouch!) by a score of 29-1 and looks to be as strong as ever, poised to make a run at another CC Championship.
Week 2 will give us more indication of whether or not week 1 was an abberation - or the norm.
